One of the best parts about this organization is seeing competitors come together for something greater. October Is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Many are bracing themselves for the fall season that is fast approaching. Soon enough, school will start again, temperatures will drop, and people will start making plans for the upcoming holidays. But even before we start carving into Thanksgiving turkeys or wrapping up countless Christmas gifts, there’s something big to be prepared for: Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Come October, we’re certain you’ll see countless fundraisers available in many stores and restaurants, all giving you the opportunity to give back to this cause. Well, we’re proud to be a part of this, as well! Sweep Away Cancer has various ways for you to join the fight and help make a contribution to those currently struggling. Here are some options:
- Buy pink shirts and koozies. Have staff and customers join the fight by sporting support shirts (available in different styles) or buy a bunch of koozies to give out and spread awareness.
- Encourage others to donate. Every little bit counts! Even a few dollars here and there makes a difference in the overall sum we raise, so ask friends, neighbors, customers, and more if they’d like to help us out in our mission.
- Consider donating part of your profits. We hear of lots of companies donating a certain percentage of profits to breast cancer throughout the month of October. This is a great way to promote business, and you can let your customers know that their money is going to a great cause. It’s a win-win all around!
